Annie Leibovitz

Annie Leibovitz, an American photographer who shaped her career with pure photography and strict commitment. Annie was born in Waterbury, Connecticut in 1949. She had inherited the love of photography from her mother and had carried it though out her life to a new level of world-class photography. Her beginnings as a professional photographer was with the Rolling Stone magazine where she had shown her talents and commitments towards each photo taken. Publisher Jann Wenner had quickly promoted her to be a chief photographer in Rolling Stone.

Annie was so focused on her career that she had delayed the idea of having a child, the dream of her life, until her early 50’s. She was blessed with Sarah Cameron Leibovitz and later had twins, Susan and Samuelle, from a surrogate mother in 2005. Having children later in her life shows the kind commitment and time she gave to master photography in all of its fields.

The real turn point in Annie’s career was after taking the famous john Lennon’s photo. This was the last professional photo taken for john Lennon after his death in December 8th,1980.
